WOODWARDs WeSearch was established in 1991 and was published as a quarterly newsletter from October 1991 through April 2004 (nearly twelve years). As technology improves the WOODWARDs WeSearch took the form of Web pages and now it is a Web site unto itself. Viewers will have opportunites to interact and new databases will be periodically placed here.
Linda Woodward Geiger is the principal researcher, and author of WOODWARDs WeSearch. Although she specializes in Georgia's state and county records prior to 1900 and a variety of federal records, particularly of the southeast region of the United States, she has extensive experience in many other geographic regions of the United States. Her personal research involves New England records. Annual excussions to the Family History Center in Salt Lake City and the National Archives in Washington, DC, are sources of data for information.
Linda and J. Mark Lowe, CGsm, are principals of Regional In-depth Genealogical Studies Alliance (RIGS Alliance), a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Genealogical Speakers Guild, the International Webmasters Association, and a member of numerous genealogical and historical societies.
She is an associate of the Board for Certification of Genealogists (BCG), holding credentials as a Certified Genealogistsm and as a Certified Genealogical Lecturersm. She is a former trustee and a former editor of the BCG newsletter, OnBoard.
As an author, Linda is pleased to have contributed articles to Genealogy Computing, the National Genealogical Society News Magazine, the Georgia Genealogical Society Quarterly, and book reviews for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. She has also compiled and been co-compiler to several published genealogical books.
Never idle, Linda, enjoys assisting others preparing their books for print. She is also an active as web design and webmaster for many historical and genealogical organizations.
